Dirty pictures: Three BJP ministers resign

Stung by the outrage over its ministers caught watching porn in the assembly, BJP has asked three erring ministers to resign. 

Speaking to the media persons, Chief Minister D V Sadananda Gowda said three ministers Krishna Palemar, Lakshman Savadi and C C Patil had already sent their resignations to him. He had accepted their letters and forwarding them to Governor Bharadwaj to complete the formalities, he added.

Co-operation Minister Savadi and Women and Child Development Minister  Patil were ''caught'' by television cameras on Tuesday watching sexually explicit video on a cellphone inside the Asse­mbly. As the sex video was found in the mobile phone belonging to Minister of Environment and Ports Palemar, he has also been asked to go.  

Gowda said that the ministers had maintained that they were innocent but quit on their own to avoid any further embarrassment to the party. An independent probe would bring out the truth, he added.

Party leader Dhananjaya Kumar had earlier said the ministers were expected to resign before the state assembly  convenes on Wednesday.
